John Henry and Emma BRYER lived at number 5 Mellick Place at the time of the birth of their third son, Frederick. These two photographs show the street in 1935, but little would have changed from a century earlier. I have not yet been able to establish exactly where Mellick's Place was, but it was certainly in the Parish of St Mary Magdalene Bermondsey.
