Additional Information

I have very little information on William and Jane, other than the precise date and place of their marriage. They appear, with Thomas only, in the 1841 census living in the workhouse. I have the death certificate of a William Rampton who died in 1847 aged 48, whose place of death was given as Strand Union Workhouse St Pancras; this may be the same William. No wife is listed on the death certificate, the informant was Mary NOTT; cause of death was Phthisis (pulmonary tuberculosis); occupation Ostler. I have not been able to find a death for Jane either. She does not appear in the 1851 census, on Thomas and he is, by this time, married with three children.
