Additional Information

I cannot identify George's origins; the baptisms and burials shown above are the only Rampton events that took place in Tollesbury, other than the later marriage of Grace (see below). Given it's reasonably close proximity to Mark's Tey and Copford (see the distribution map), I think it is reasonable to assume that George forms part of that family but I cannot prove it.

The mother's name, Grace, is only given for the baptism of George; I have so far found no marriage record for George and Grace, although there is a marriage record for Grace RAMPTON in Tollesbury, in 1640 to Richard BREWSTER, so perhaps Grace remarried having been widowed.
