Who They Were
Alfred was a Cab Driver/Taxi Driver most of his life after a spell as a brassworker.
Where They Lived
At the time of Winifred's birth they were living at 26 Aston Street. By the time of the 1901 Census, they had three children and were living in Acton Street, Grays Inn Lane in St Pancras. In 1911, Alfred was a patient at the Royal Free Hospital while Alice and the children (minus Winifred) were living on the Bourne Estate Holborn. She was working as a Charwoman at a firm of solicitors. I have not been able to find Winifred in the 1911 census, but I know that she never married, and died aged 89 in Slough.
