Who They Were

There is no hard evidence as yet that the father of Edward was indeed the John Bampfield Bryer, son of William, but it is a reasonable assumption to make since there seems not to have been another family of BRYERs in Dorchester at the time.

Where They Lived

Although John was bequeathed the Manor of Fordington to be his after his father's widow had died, it is unlikely he lived to enjoy the property, as he survived his father by just 6 years.
