Who They Were
Frederick was a miller at Dalham, a very important post, but it would seem that he died a pauper. I have been unable to trace the two marriages for him, nor have I been able to identify the Elizabeth Bishop (aged 60 in 1841) who was living with him, together with a child, Jane, aged 8.
Where They Lived
In 1841, Frederick was living in Dalham, with Elizabeth (aged 60) and Jane (aged 8). Due to the loss of 1851 Census returns for Dalham, it has not been possible to verify that the family was still living in Dalham in 1851. In 1861, Frederick was living, a widower of 83, with George and Harriet Green, still in Dalham. Frederick died aged 94 years, of Jaundice. Harriet Green was the informant of his death, and although she did not state her relationship, she was in fact his daughter, married to George Green in 1836.
