Additional Information

In 1851, when only a couple of years old, George was living with his grandparents William and Hannah Owen in Farleigh Wallop. In 1881, he and his young family were living at 6 Acre Street Battersea, Wandsworth in Surrey. Only a few doors away lived brother Alfred and his family. They continued to live in this street for many years, as they are found at no. 3 Acre Street in 1891. By 1901, however, George had died and Sarah was living in Battersea with the children. In 1901 and 1911, Georgina is described as Daughter, but she was born some years after George's death, and the GRO has her mother's maiden name as RAMPTON; could she have been Lillian's daughter?

I have been unable to establish when and where George and Sarah Ann were married; I found her surname from the GRO index entries for the birth of the children.
