Who They Were

It is very unusual to find a couple marrying in the 18th century and producing their first child within one year, to then wait for 13 years to have another son. Yet the BVRI, which has indexed the 18th century parish records for St Peter Dorchester, gives no children for the intervening years. Are the registers incomplete? Did the couple move around, have children elsewhere, and then return to Dorchester in 1770?

I think I have found a marriage for Robert, and can link him to Arthur Blewert Bryer. Sadly, the church registers that would have proved the baptism of Arthur were destroyed in the London Blitz, and so I have had to determine this by examining the relationships in Arthur's will, and by the address given on Robert's burial entry.
