Who They Were

Mary Ann VINER was born in 1786 to Thomas and Sarah VINER, at Stratfield Turgis; this is undoubtedly the Mary Ann who married John BUTLER in 1803. There is still doubt in my mind that this is the correct couple, There may have been a daughter, Elizabeth, born elsewhere to this couple; she died in Baughurst and was buried 16 Mar 1808. It has not yet been possible to prove when and where she was born, and the details of the marriage are at present supposition, based upon the fact that there were no other marriages of a John to a Mary in the area in the timeframe.
