Additional Information
In the 1851 Census the family was living in Tadley, next door to James's sister Elizabeth and her husband David Stacey. Four houses further down the road lived Thomas Rampton, cousin to James, and his second wife Charlotte (nee TULL).
Fanny died of peritonitis in 1859 - no child is recorded having been buried alongside her - and William BUTLER, her brother, informed the registrar of her death. James followed her two years later, a victim of Phthisis or tuberculosis. Ann Long was in attendance at his death, possibly a cousin, daughter of Mary Anne RAMPTON and William LONG (James's aunt and uncle).
In 1861 census, James was living with his parents, James and Elizabeth, together with his three children; son William born 1851 must have died in infancy but I have as yet been unable to find the record of his death.
Elizabeth Stacey seems to have cared for her brother James's son William when he was left an orphan in 1861, but sadly William died in 1862 (Elizabeth was present at his death and informed the registrar).
I have not been able to identify daughter Elizabeth in any later census, but Hannah turned up as a servant in Clapham in 1871.
