Their Children
Where They Lived
At the time of the 1871 Census, William and Elizabeth were living at Eye & Dunsden with William, George, Charles, and Thomas. In 1881, their address was Littlestead Green, Eye & Dunsden, and all the children, except William, George and Edward were living with them. In 1891, they had Thomas and his new wife Annie living with them as well as their own children Elizabeth, Frank and Edward. Son Charles was living in Rotherfield Peppard, working as a carter on Kingwood Farm, and only a few doors away from James and Charlotte, his great uncle and aunt; son William was a cowman at Fawley Court Farm, Henley; son George was a maltster, married and living in Henley New Town; and son Joseph was a shoemaker living in Shiplake Bottom.
Edward's gravestone in Dunsden Churchyard is the only existing FOSTER gravestone, despite the fact that quite a few FOSTERs made Dunsden their home.
