David Smithers and Maria Harrison were witness to their marriage in 1866.
Where They Lived
In 1871, Caroline was living in Burrow Hill, next door to the Drews and a few houses away from her father Charles; she was married, but there was no sign of Joseph.
In 1881 Caroline was living with her sister Hannah Hockley in Burrow Hill; both said they were married but neither husband was present. In 1891 Caroline was living in Queen's Road Knaphill Woking, widowed and alone; Joseph had died the previous year at Aberdeen Terrace Woking, Caroline was present at his death and gave the same address for herself.
