In 1891, Charles was living in Kingston with his sister Emily TAYLOR. In 1905 he was in Burrow Hill Chobham. In 1911 he lived in Burrow Hill with wife Emily and children Charles, Nellie and James. In 1916 he was a licensed victualler at The Fox and Hounds Inn Sandhurst, Easthampstead BRK. In 1918 Charles was serving in the RAF, and gave his next of kin as his sister Rose WOODEN. From 1925 to at least 1945 he lived at Daisy Cottage Jenkin's Green Easthampstead [electoral rolls]. In 1955, at the time of his death, he was living at 19 Pooley Avenue Egham SRY.
