Arthur was living with his parents in Worting in 1871, and in 1881 he was living in lodgings in Great Knollys Street Reading St Mary, BRK. He was not shown as married in 1881. On 2 Sep 1886, however, he was found dead in the River Thames in Reading. An Inquest was held 3rd Sep 1886 decided that he had drowned, whether by accident or deliberately it does not say. His mother, Lydia, died less than 6 months later.
