Additional Information
On the baptism record for Amy, the mother's name is given as Harriet; however, I am reasonably certain that this was an error by the Parish Clerk, as Amy's marriage certificate clearly states her father was James, and there were no couples named James and Harriet producing babies in this area at this time.
In the 1841 Census, Frances says that she was not born in Hampshire, and in 1851, a pauper widow named Fanny, with a daughter Eliza of the correct age, was living in the Workhouse at Froyle, and gave her place of Birth as Beaverstock, Wiltshire. By 1891, Fanny had died and Eliza was living alone, a pauper, in Lower Froyle Street.
Daughter Louise was a servant in Deane, near Basingstoke, in 1851. I have been unable to trace the whereabouts of daughter Charlotte, although she may have born an illegitimate son, George, in Froyle in 1840. Neither appears in the 1851 census under the name of Rampton. Dorcas was a dairy girl, living in Coldrey in 1851.
