Additional Information
In 1841, John was living at home, but by 1851 he had moved away and was lodging in West Street Malthouse Lane Fareham. I have been unable to trace him in the 1861 and 1871 censuses, but we know he married a widow, Jane TUCKER, in Chatham in 1868. By the time of the 1881 census he was living in Gillingham, Kent, a widower and lodger at 2 Miller's Court, working as a general labourer. I am not certain, but think he may have died in 1916; I haven't been able to establish when Jane died, or if they had any children.
