Additional Information
In 1881 and 1891 censuses, George and Emily were living at 84 Elsley Road Battersea. In the 1901 census, George and daughter Florence can be found as visitors in the house of William WHITE and his two brothers. Living with them was their sister Jane DAWSON and her three teenage sons. It must have been a lively household, three dockers and three teenage boys! It would be interesting to know how such unlikely people came to be living in the same house at the same time, and just months before George married Jane. Having lived in an around South London most of his life, George settled in West Ham, and in 1911, he and Jane can be found living there, without children.
