Through searching the early records held on the familysearch website, I have identified a number of Ramton events in counties other than Hampshire, occuring in the 16th and 17th centuries. These events are widespread, from Devon to north Lincolnshire, but very thinly spread, sometimes involving only one or two records in a whole county. I am treating these records as waifs and strays until I can find some means of joining them together. Where there are a few records which allow me to identify family groups, I have produced charts and theories; where there is little to go on I have included a list of baptisms, marriages and burials.
