Their Children

Who They Were

Walter Charles Meloy enlisted in the army in 1916; he served first in the Dorset Regiment and the Hertfordshire Yeomanry, before transferring to the Worcestershire Regiment. I have been unable to trace any children for this couple.

Where They Lived

In 1916, on his enlistment papers, he gave his next of kin as his mother Lucy and her address as Onslow Terrace Burrow Hill Chobham. In 1938 and 1939, Walter lived with his mother Lucy at 11 Brind Cottages Bagshot with brothers Albert and George; Lily was living with her parents at Rose Tree Cottage Bagshot. In 1972, at the time of his death, Walter's address was given as 1 Jasmine Cottages 33 Alpha Road Chobham.
