Additional Information
In 1891, the family was living in Old Alresford with Charles's widowed mother, Maria. Their daughter was only 3 weeks old and had not been named. In 1901, Charles and Catherine were living alone in Old Alresford, whilst son Bernard was living with his grandparents, George and Eliza GLOVER, in Kingston SRY; in this census he was named Arthur B C RAMPTON.
In 1911, Charles and Catherine were still in Old Alresford, this time with sister in law and neice Emily and Peggy GLOVER, whilst Bernard was in Eastleigh working at the L & SW Railway Locomotive Depot. There is a record of a death in 1913 of an Arthur B C RAMPTON, aged 19, which fits Bernard; there are no other Arthur B C RAMPTONs born around the same time, but I have no explanation as to why his birth was registered as Bernard Charles and his death as Arthur Bernard Charles.
