Sarah married Frederick, a widower and brother of Laurie JORDAN, her sister Alice's husband. At the time of her marriage, Sarah gave her address as 46 Winstanley Road, Battersea, the home of William and Ellen, her brother and sister-in-law; Frederick's address was Dorking.
In the 1881 census there are two couples with the same names and (almost) same ages. One Frederick & Sarah Jordan had four children and lived at 32 Cromwell Road Reigate Foreign, Surrey. The other had no children and were living at Falkland Hill Dorking, Surrey. Both Frederick's were in the House Decorating trade, but Pam and I are confident that the real Frederick and Sarah are the childless couple in Dorking.
