Additional Information
In the 1881 census, Frederick George was described as Daniel and Ann's grandson; by 1891, he had become their son. The GRO website search facility states his mother's name was COOMBES, and the parish registers for Bentley also record Daniel and Ann as his parents, so unless the family lied to the authorities, he is definitely their son!
In 1901, he was stationed at HMS Excellent Gunnery School; he married in 1910, and in 1911 he and Emily were living in Portsmouth and he had become a Petty Officer. Around 1912/13, the family moved to Farnham SRY where son Frederick was born, and Emily was living at 2 Norman Villas Rowledge Farnham when Frederick died in 1919. According to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website, he was serving as Chief Petty Officer aboard HMS Princess Margaret, but the site does not state cause of death. He has a special memorial erected in Tallinn New Garrison Cemetery. His name and details of his service can be seen on the Rampton War Memorial.
