Additional Information
William Percy died of his wounds in June 1917. He served as a Private with the South Lancashire Regiment, 1st/4th Battallion (Service no. 203439), having signed up in Godalming. His name appears on the memorial at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Xiii.E.2. There is a photograph of his headstone at FindaGrave. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission website gives his wife's name as R RAMPTON of Bottom Farm Tadley Basingstoke. The daughter Rose is currenty speculation; her mother's maiden name was definitely STACEY, but I am not 100% sure as yet that her mother was Rose.
