Additional Information
In 1901, Henry and Mary Ann were living in New Town Tadley, with Alfred George, who was called RAMPTON and referred to as the son of the household. In 1911, they were still living in Tadley, but now Alfred George was named LONG, although still described as a son of the household. Alfred joined the Hampshire Regiment 2nd Battalion as Alfred RAMPTON, and was killed fighting in Flanders fields only a month before the Armistice. Mary Ann, and after her death Henry, received Alfred's army pension; the continued to live in New Town Tadley. Further details of Alfred can be found on the Rampton War Memorial page.
