Additional Information
As a child, Albert appears to have been farmed out to his uncle David in Greenwich, although in 1871 he was back with his mother and siblings in Wantage. In 1881 he was a boarder in Chelse and was an engine driver. In about 1890, however, he was in Newcastle upon Tyne where he married. In 1891, he and Margaret were living in Erith KEN, and in 1901 they had moved to Wrotham KEN; in neither censuses were children given but in 1901, he and his wife Maragret were living in Malling, KEN, and Albert was a Publican. No children were living with them, and I cannot find in the GRO search facility, that any children were registered to Rampton and Pitkethly. In 1911, Albert was back living in Wantage and Margaret was visiting her mother in Newcastle upon Tyne.
