Additional Information

In the 1881 census William was listed as living with his WHITCHER grandparents in New Town Basingstoke, and in 1891 William was still living with the WHITCHERs.

I have been unable to find the marriage of William and Charlotte, but the GRO definitely records the cildren as having a mother with the maiden name of FOSTER. It appears that the family moved around, first living in East Molesey SRY (in the 1901 census), then moving to Rugby WAR, before finally returning to Basingstoke.

In 1911, William was described as When in work Iron Turner.
