Clara was the daughter of William and Emily JURY, born and brought up in Tadley. Her first marriage to Mr BULL does not appear to have taken place in Tadley. She and William, newly married themselves, were witnesses at the marriage of her sister, Matilda JURY to David WEST in 1885. In the 1871 and 1881 Census, William was living with his parents in Tadley. In the 1891 census, William and Clara were living with their four children in the same house as William's parents. In 1901, William and Clara lived in Purley, Bradfield, BRK, with all but Annie and Rose. Rose was still living with her grandparents Thomas and Harriet in Tadley. In 1911, William and Clara were living in Padworth BRK with Rose and Ernest.

William's will was proved on 8 Dec 1932, William John was named beneficiary.
