Additional Information
At the time of their marriage, Edith's place of residence was given as Hannington, although the 1891 census records her as having been born in Christchurch, Hampshire. In the 1891 census, George and Edith are recorded as living at Heath End, Tadley. In 1901, they were still in Tadley with five children.
When Leonard George died of Tuberculosis of the kidney, he was working as an odd job man at Hurst Farm Herriard. His sister, Florence GARRETT, of East Oakley Wootton St Lawrence, was present at his death and informed the registrar. Leonard fought in the First World War, and although his death was not actually in the conflict, he is still commemorated on the Tadley War Memorial and has a place on the Rampton War Memorial also.
