Who They Were
Son William James was a Royal Marine, killed at the Battle of Jutland in 1916; Invincible was Rear-Admiral Hood's flagship and was lost with over 1,000 men including Hood. He is commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial and on the Family War Memorial.
Where They Lived
In 1891 the family lived at 11 Park Ride Clewer Windsor. In 1901 and 1911, they lived at Crown Cottages Kings Road Windsor, right on the edge of Windsor Great Park. Electoral Rolls for 1920 put them at the same address.
